  • What Is Mardi Gras?

    Mardi Gras, also called Fat Tuesday, refers to events of the Carnival celebrations, beginning on or after the Christian feasts of the Epiphany (Three King's Day) and culminating on the day before Ash Wednesday. Mardi Gras is French for "Fat Tuesday", reflecting the practice of the last night of eating richer, fatty foods before the ritual fasting of the Lenten season. Read More Here

  • How Do I Become A Member?

    The easiest way to join the Krewe of Centaur is by purchasing our membership plans on our Membership Page. You can also sign up at one of our monthly meetings. Meetings are held on the third Monday of the month, at 6:30 pm, at the NEW DEN at the Krewe of Centaur property on North Market at Aero Drive, in Shreveport. Ask for a membership form at the door or just come in and visit a while.
